No Client Acquisition
Trellis handles sales, contracts, and client management. You never have to worry about cold outreach, prospecting, or pitch decks.
Remote, flexible scientific consulting supported by tools to make the work easy.
But before a startup can launch, hire locally, or secure investment, they hit an invisible wall: complex regulatory paperwork. Not because their innovations aren't promising, but because there is a historical lack of tools to support early-stage innovators through their compliance journey.
Trellis provides those tools. And it only works because of scientists like you. We've created a platform that pre-populates up to 80% of federal regulatory filings (FDA, EPA, USDA, etc.) automatically — then routes each dossier to a credentialed expert reviewer for the scientific validation only a trained professional can provide. You bring the expertise. We bring everything else.
Trellis Experts is built for scientists — active or retired — who want flexible, well-compensated consulting on their own terms, fully remote.

Most core reviews require 2 to 12 hours of expert time over a 3 to 8 week project window, depending on the scope. The platform handles document formatting and layout, so your time is spent on scientific evaluation only.
No. Experts certify that they evaluated data against published statutory guidelines using accepted scientific methodology. Trellis experts do not guarantee final government agency approval. Your liability on a project is strictly capped at the project fee you earn under the Master Services Agreement. The cap does not apply to fraud, intentional misconduct (such as deliberately sharing confidential client data), or material violations of your Expert Agreement.
Your project fee is paid via Wise within 2 business days after your deliverable passes Trellis Quality Review in accordance with the quality standards outlined in your Expert Agreement. No client invoicing required.
We review submissions on a rolling basis to see if your credentials match our current project needs. The next step is a sample compliance review. Successful completion leads to onboarding and setting your availability for upcoming project assignments.
Trellis cannot guarantee a steady stream of projects. By keeping your availability current, you'll have the best chance of receiving new projects as they become available.
